Book Project 2012
Please consider submitting a story of your mother,
grandmother or someone you regard as "like a mother to you" for our book
project, Stories of Our Mothers.
Submissions should be no longer than a typical book chapter, but not
shorter than several substantial paragraphs. Are you reluctant to
write, but would still like to share a story? Contact the church office
to schedule an interview time, and we will record your story and put it
to written form. Deadline for written submissions to the church office
is Wednesday, February 29, 2012 by 4:00 p.m. Deadline to schedule a
recorded interview with our Editor is Friday, February 10. Please leave
a message with your return phone number at (251) 232-1548 or send an
e-mail to interview@fbcmobile.com,
if you would like to schedule an interview time. If you would like to
submit a draft of your story via e-mail, please send your story via
e-mail attachment (.doc format preferred) to mothers@fbcmobile.com.
Be sure to include a telephone number, in case our Editor has any
questions. The final book will be self-published by the church, and we
hope to have it ready for orders to be shipped on or before Mother's Day
2012. Do not miss the chance to be a part of this exciting project!
After we compile and edit all submissions for a final proof, we will
publish the estimated cost for purchase. All proceeds above and beyond
printing costs will be set aside to support our mission teams.
