Children

Children are are the heart of FBC Mobile.  Children are not only the future of our church, but also an important part of the present.  Children lead in worship, participate in missions and develop meaningful friendships.  We nurture children in the love of God and teach using age appropriate theology.  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them.”  Children learn important values through Bible stories and engaging activities.  Sunday mornings include Sunday School for all ages, as well as Children’s Church. FBC Mobile has weekday preschool for certain ages.  For information, please contact  the church office.

Youth

Youth are an active part of the FBC family. Youth participate in weekly activities like Sunday School, but also have the freedom to participate in retreats, camps, and mission trips. In 2008, we redesigned the Youth Room, creating a new space simply called “The Refuge.”  It includes a pool table, video game systems, big screen televisions, and lots of comfortable furniture in a coffee house atmosphere.  Youth Bible Study emphasizes values and character development, encouraging our young people to make wise decisions and grow in the love of Christ.

Young Adults

FBC young adults are one of our church’s fastest growing segments.  Young adults come from all parts of Mobile and Baldwin counties, different professions, and includes singles, couples and parents.  Young adult Sunday School meets weekly at 9:45 a.m. for coffee and informal discussion that includes Bible study, book studies, and topical studies that encourage honesty as young adults face the challenge of faith in contemporary culture.  FBC young adults are actively involved in service ministries, including participation in one or more of our mission trips each year.  Young adults also enjoy fellowship times from barbeques to baseball games.

Adults of All Ages

FBC Mobile is a diverse congregation that includes older singles with no children, empty nesters, young grandparents and many others.  Adult Sunday School opportunities each week include Bible and topical studies with lively and open discussion.  There are weekly social, service and fellowship opportunities for all members.  FBC Mobile adults are leaders in worship. learning, missions and service.  Whether you are looking to join a women’s bible study, go on mission with our WMU, show off your barbecue skills, share your talents in one of our unique mid-week learning opportunities, work with children and families, or lead a mission team, there is a place for you at FBC Mobile.

Senior Adults (a.k.a. Happy Timers)

FBC “happy timers” include retirees, grandparents, and other “young at heart” in our family of faith.  FBC Mobile has unique social, learning and service opportunities for senior adults.  Senior adults sponsor regular trips both locally and abroad.  Several of our senior adults have even traveled on mission trips abroad, both within the U.S. and to other countries.  FBC Mobile enjoys a proud heritage of leadership and a living legacy of a faith that endures.  The “happy timers” are a testimony to the truth that where there is great faith, joy abounds.

Home Bound

FBC Mobile has active ministry to our home bound and shut-in members through our deacon family ministry, our “friends in deed,” and our weekly radio ministry.  Our congregation’s inspiration and most faithful support comes from our members throughout the Mobile and Baldwin County areas who are unable to personally be with us, but who remain a vital part of our family of faith.  At FBC Mobile, we take seriously the call to care for the needs of our brothers and sisters, including the “least of these” among us.
